Bachata is a social dance from the Dominican Republic in the Caribbean. The basic dance sequence is performed in a full 8-count moving within a square, consisting of three steps and then a tap or various forms of step syncopations (such as the “double step”).
Cross Body Salsa is danced in linear movements, i.e. dance on a line. The most important part of Cross Body is what is referred to as the “cross-body lead”, with the participants dancing face-to-face with each other.
Kizomba is a genre of dance and music originating from Angola, Africa. It is a derivative of semba, with a mix of Kilapanda and Angolan Merengue. The word kizomba is also used as an umbrella-term used to include several other dance styles that derived from the original dance (Urban Kiz, Kizomba Fusion).
